Seems easy enough until you join up and get booted out of an auction by a pro who is way better than you are. • Reduce your bid cost. Bid packs cost money so if a site is offering you free bids with purchase of a bid pack or free bids when you refer a friend, you should jump on that.
• Stay focused on one auction at a time. Too many times I have tried to win several at the same time that I ended up losing all of them. It takes less than a second for someone to outbid you.
• Wait a bit of time before you start bidding. Don’t needlessly force the price up prematurely.
• Join sites with guarantees. If a site guarantees you will win its likely you will win. Join established large sites over newer ones.
• You should only bid on one auction at a time so that you can stay focused on winning that auction. Too many times people will try to bid on multiple auctions at the same time only to end up losing them all .
• Most of the penny auction sites have a feature called ‘buy it now’. This is a great feature, it allows you to purchase the item you were bidding on for the full retail price if you lose the auction. The amount you spent on bids trying to win it would be deducted from the retail price.
• Whenever you sit down to play you should always be sure you have plenty of time. Don’t start playing if you know you have to leave soon for anything. You should always know you can see an auction till the end if you start bidding.
